The A Team has also planned and is ready to execute some awesome programming for the WLU student population for the upcomming 2008-2009 school year:
Tony Lee XXX Rated Hypnotist: Once again, Tony Lee the X-rated hypnotist will be comming back to Laurier! Ever year his show is successful due to his edgy style of showmanship, this show did not disappoint. Whether it was volunteers stripping down to almost nothing, or “interesting” phone calls being placed, Tony Lee showed why he continues to sell out at Laurier. Keep an eye out for Tony Lee comming back to WLU this October 2008!
Comedy Nights: The last Wednesday of every month of the school year the A-Team will be putting on a Comedy Night in Wilf’s featuring comedians from Yuk Yuk’s in Toronto. The event has become staple event with Laurier students over the past two years and is always a good time! Make sure you keep an eye out for promotion of Comedy Night near the end of every month!
Last Band Standing: Last Band Standing is back again this year and will be hosted by the A-Team is Wilf’s. It is a year long battle of the bands competition for all students of Laurier to compete in and to watch! The winner of this event earns $1000 cash and a spot in a National Showcase to show off their talent! If you are apart of a band with one member attending Laurier and are interested in participating in LBS 2008-2009 please contact the A-Team using the contact information.
Annual Year End Celebration: The final event of the year as always is the Year End Celebration. This is a time; if you are graduating to party with your friends one last time or just end the year off with an amazing evening filled with fun, music, dancing and laughs. The Quad is transformed into a dance floor while the Turret and Wilfs open up with live bands allowing students to roam between venues. No matter rain or shine, the Laurier spirit can’t be beat! Look out for details for Year End in Early April 2009!
Mission Impossible: Once again the A-Team will be delivering a tactical game for the students of Laurier. Fifteen groups of ten people will be able to participate in various tactical games all over campus for the overall prize that has included a VIP night in the turret which included, beat the line passes, personal servants for the evening and a limo for your team in the past. Keep an eye out for Mission Impossible registration in the Concourse in early November 2008!
