Charity Ball is a formal event, with dinner, dancing, and most of all...FUN!. It is an opportunity for friends to dress up and enjoy a relaxing evening while raising money for an important charity.

Our Charity this year is HopeSpring Cancer Support Center. It is a local charity that provides a multitude of programs and services for people affected by cancer; either as sufferers’, survivors or as family and friends. This is a wonderful charity that offers courses, workshops, seminars, gentle exercise, relaxation therapies, and information nights. They provide individual and group support, a free wig boutique, and a resource centre (http://www.hopespring.ca/)

Upcoming Events:

February 6th- "Ballroom Blitz"

Laurier students will have an opportunity to learn or brush up on their ballroom dancing skills in a fun, welcoming environment. For only $5 at the door, students can enjoy learning various ballroom dances while helping to support a great cause!

February 11th- "Hair for Hope"

Laurier students are encouraged to come out to the Concourse between
10am and 3pm to see some of Laurier's finest wax, cut and shave their hair in support of HopeSpring Cancer Support Center. $5 Trims will also be available for any student that would like one all proceeds going to this years charity. A bakesale will also be available and a raffle will be taking place throughout the day; the lucky winner will be awarded with 2 tickets to this years ball!!!

February 11th- "Ticket Sales"

Tickets will be on sale in the Concourse and Science Building from Feb. 11th- Feb 15th and again Feb 25th-Feb 27th. Be sure to buy your tickets early to secure your spot to this unbelievable event! Tickets are regularly $45, but for only $65 you can upgrade your ticket to attend Charity Ball's Martini Reception prior to the event! More details to come!
