About Charity Ball

Charity Ball is a formal event, with dinner, dancing, and most of all...FUN!. It is an opportunity for friends to dress up and enjoy a relaxing evening while raising money for an important charity. It is held at the beginning of second semester each year.

Buses to and from the Ball are provided for the approximately 800 guests. Tickets can be purchased in the Concourse and/or Hall of Fame two weeks prior to the Ball.

A Special Martini Reception precedes the Ball for those who have added the Martini Reception option to their ticket purchase. One of our biggest highlights at the ball is our annual Silent Auction which features a variety of products and gift certificates graciously donated by our local and corporate sponsors.

With the help of many volunteers, the committee holds events throughout the year to raise both awareness and money.

Every year the committee selects a different charity to donate money towards. 

Our Charity this year is HopeSpring Cancer Support Center. It is a local charity that provides a multitude of programs and services for people affected by cancer; either as sufferers’, survivors or as family and friends. This is a wonderful charity that offers courses, workshops, seminars, gentle exercise, relaxation therapies, and information nights. They provide individual and group support, a free wig boutique, and a resource centre (http://www.hopespring.ca/)

Our goal is to provide this wonderful charity with the help they need to continue running these amazing services and to expand to provide even more to the people of this community having to deal with this horrible disease. Please consider our “Hair for Hope” event as a chance for you to make a difference. Every person will be either directly or indirectly affected with cancer throughout their lives, and this Charity is a great way for people to cope with the hardships they will have to face.
