L.U.C.K. Hosts Murder Mystery Charity Event

WATERLOO – On Tuesday, January 29th, 2008, the Laurier University Charity Kouncil (L.U.C.K) will be hosting their 3rd Annual Murder Mystery charity event.  The evening will take place at the Turret, with doors opening at 7:00 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 each.

In accordance with L.U.C.K.’s previous events, the Murder Mystery event will be raising money for this year’s chosen charity, The Sick Kid’s Foundation.  This year’s theme is Hollywood, a “Red Carpet Event,” in which volunteers participate in a short play, while the audience uses clues to solve the mystery!  The actors that will be performing include Andrew Blake, Corrine Bowers, Greg Boyd, Bobby Thompson, Jason Verhoeve, Steph White, Sarah Willis, as well as one additional L.U.C.K volunteer and one Winter Carnival participant, which will be rewarded during the week.

"This is the 3rd time L.U.C.K. has hosted the Murder Mystery event with each year bringing lasting memories and incredible opportunities to give back,” says Laura Sheridan, L.U.C.K.’s Murder Mystery Event Coordinator.  “This year's Murder Mystery promises to be an evening filled with theatrics, secrecy and laughter as the audience and cast work together to solve the Hollywood-themed mystery occurring on stage. All proceeds will be going towards The Sick Kids Foundation to ensure that all children have access to the treatment and support they might need; every child deserves to be healthy.”
