On October 3rd, 2008 the Brantford Campus Council released a survey to the Laurier Brantford students, regarding Environmental Sustainability around our campus. It focused on areas such as, access to recycling and garbage receptacles, how much do students recycle, and how they feel our campus is currently doing with providing a “green” lifestyle. 227 Laurier Brantford students completed the survey in the three week span it was published through the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union web site. The following will be a break down of each question and the results obtained.
- How often do you recycle?
Never =6 students (2.64%)
Sometimes =23 students (10.13%)
Most of the time =76 students (33.48%)
Always =122 students (53.74%)
Total # = 227 students
- How much do you value having a ‘green’ campus (scale 1 to 4, 1 being lowest, 4 being the highest)
1 = 2 students (0.88%)
2 = 9 students (3.96%)
3 =67 students (29.52%)
4 =149 students (65.64%)
Total # = 227 students
- Do you currently feel that there is enough trash and recycling outlets around campus?
Not enough = 131 students (57.71%)
Enough = 61 students (26.87%)
Haven’t noticed = 35 students (15.42%)

- To what extent is living a ‘Green Lifestyle’ important to you? (Scale for 1 to 4, 1 being no importance, 4 being high importance)
