Laurier Students for Literacy

Laurier Students for Literacy (LSFL) was established to instill a love of reading in children and to encourage literacy through reading circles, one-on-one tutoring and many external programs and events. With one of the largest volunteer bases on campus, Laurier Students for Literacy will be running 3 weekly programs this year.  These include the Book Buddies rogram at the Brantford Public Library, All Star Reading and the Homework Help Centre at the Brantford Public Library. We will also be running monthly (perhaps even bi-weekly) meetings for the Boys Reading Club (a brand new initiative giving male students at Laurier Brantford the opportunity to act as a mentor for boys in the Brantford community).  LSFL will also be hosting a plethora of events for the community this year. Our next event will be:

Snuggle Up & Read!

October 24 6:30-8:30 pm in the Student Centre Multi Purpose Room

Put on your favourite pyjamas and bring your teddy for some fun literacy activities and stories!
