Best wishes to outgoing General Manager, Michael McMahon
The Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union is grateful for the services and excellent leadership of Michael McMahon as General Manager (GM) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 1996. With his strong business acumen, Michael has played an important role in making the Students’ Union a premier student organization in Canada. He has undoubtedly provided the highest quality of value to our owners, the students, through his hard work and dedication over the years. We thank him for all he has done, and we wish him the best of luck in his new role in the Canadian health industry.
We look forward to the continued growth and success of the Students’ Union under the leadership of Chris Hyde, who will be Michael’s interim successor. Currently, Chris holds the position of Director of Policy, Advocacy and Research for the Students’ Union. As Chris carries out the duties of GM and COO, I, Jon Pryce, Chair of the Board and Chief Governance Officer, will facilitate the hiring process for the new GM and COO.
This is a time of tremendous opportunity and growth, and we will continue to, as always, provide the highest quality of services and support to the students of Wilfrid Laurier University.
