New staff appointments: Member Benefits & Services Manager, Human Resources Manager

 

We're pleased to announce the following staff appointments:

Kelly Lee, currently the Students' Union Administrative Assistant, has been appointed to the position of Member Benefits & Services Manager. Kelly will act as the main contact and resource for the WLU undergraduate health & dental plan and associated benefits and services. Furthermore, Kelly will aid and assist in the development and delivery of programs and offerings available to all students through the Union Desk (located on the 1st floor of the FNCC), while overseeing its daily operation. Kelly will be a welcome addition to our Member Services department, bringing a wealth of university knowledge and campus experience; having formerly held administrative roles within Laurier Athletics, the WLU Office of the Vice President Finance & Administration, and the WLU Students' Union.

Dimitri Dimopoulos has been appointed to the position of Human Resources Manager for the Students' Union.  Dimitri will manage and facilitate the human resource functions for all levels of staff and volunteers, on both the Waterloo and Brantford campuses. Additionally, Occupational Health & Safety and related employment legislative requirements will be encompassed within this role. With an education background in Human Resources Management, Dimitri has previously held various positions within Students' Union business operations; with a recent focus on streamlining the human resources and workforce management of our part-time student staff. The Students' Union is excited to expand upon this, providing a professional human resources support for all volunteers and staff.

These positions are effective immediately. Both Dimitri and Kelly look forward to continuing with the Students’ Union, liaising with our university partners, and working hard for the students of Wilfrid Laurier University.  Please join us in congratulating them both.
