 “HAIR FOR HOPE” Awareness Campaign
**CANCER AFFECTS US
ALL**

WATERLOO - Need a hair cut? Want to get rid of that unwanted hair? Or are you just looking for a way to give back to the community? On Monday, February 11th, 2008, Charity Ball will be making your wishes come true!

In the Concourse from 10am-3pm Charity Ball invites you to come out and join them for their “Hair for Hope” Campaign. They are raising funds and awareness for the HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, their charity of choice for this year. There are several ways you can participate:

  1. HAIR DONATOR

Charity Ball welcomes Laurier Students and Administrators to become Hair Donators. All you have to do is sign-up for times throughout the day to cut, wax or shave some of your hair to raise money for their charity. Charity Ball exec will be promoting these individuals prior to the event to get the student body out to watch and make small contributions to the charity.

  1. GET YOUR HAIR TRIMMED OR CUT BY ‘HAIR CONNECTION’

Why go far for a good hair cut? Hair stylists from “Hair Connection” will be available throughout the day for any student or administrator who would like to pay just $5 to receive a cut or trim.

  1. RAFFLE

A raffle will be held throughout the day. You can buy 1 ticket for $2 or 3 tickets for $5. Grand Prize consists of 2 FREE TICKETS TO THIS YEARS’ CHARITY BALL EVENT!!!

The HopeSpring Cancer Support Center is a local organization that provides a multitude of programs and services for people affected by cancer. “Our goal is to provide this wonderful charity with the help they need to continue running these amazing services and to expand to provide even more to the people of this community having to deal with this horrible disease… Every person will be either directly or indirectly affected with cancer throughout their lives, and this Charity is a great way for people to cope with the hardships they will have to face” (Daliah Hijazi, Promotions Executive).
