What is Twist and Shout?

DJ Care showcases 90 minutes worth of old school tunes that are guaranteed to have you dancing your feet off (whether you’re listening in the concourse, or alone in your dorm room).  You won’t be able to resist the sweet sounds of the sixties, seventies, eighties and occasional nineties tunes as they weasel their way from out of the past and into your Thuper Thursday schedule. 

Why should I listen to Twist and Shout?

DJ Care has plenty of giveaways, theme shows, guest hosts and “groovy” songs to entise you with!  So set aside 90 minutes a week and have some fun…because let’s face it, we’ve all longed to be part of the summer of ’69!

Who is DJ Care? 

DJ Care is old school in her own right as this is her third year hosting on Radio Laurier. This year she is the stations Executive of Sponsorship and Logistics…but she can’t stay away from the on-campus “fishbowl” she has grown to call home. After two years as the former host of International Shows The X-Pat, and Broken Borders, DJ Care is switching it up!  What can we say?  She just wants to dance!!! So, stop by and join her while she twist’s and shouts in the booth every Thursday from 9:00-10:30am at Radio Laurier…because Thursday’s have never been sooo Thuper!
