WATERLOO, ON – On Tuesday February 28th, the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union will host members of the Kitchener-Waterloo community at an interactive event, aptly titled the “Town & Gown Cooperation”. The evening will offer a chance for community members to voice their concerns about the University with Laurier’s student leaders.
Taking place at 6:30 pm in the Turret, the aim of the event is to generate awareness of consistent areas of concern between students and the community. Community members have been invited to engage in discussion with students, to share their complaints as well as learn about issues facing students.
“The event is a chance for both students and the community to be proactive”, explains Anthony Piscitelli, the primary organizer for the event. “We’re eager to get everyone’s concerns out in the open, to bring some understanding to the issues that each side faces.”
