Along with the University and the Wilfrid Laurier University Graduate Student Association, WLUSU is a key partner in the Student Services Advisory Council. Recognized by the Ontario Government as a best practice in Post Secondary Education this unique agreement gives students a 50% management stake in how student services are delivered to Laurier students.
Since its beginning in 1999, this agreement has brought forward numerous developments including the extension of hours in virtually every service as well as capital investment into the Athletic Complex, the Dining Hall, Counseling Services as well as Health Services.
In 2002, the agreement was renewed with the intention to build on the strong spirit of the partnership and to continue to enhance the quality of life on campus. This new five-year agreement includes many benefits for Laurier students including the creation of a Community Relations Service for students living off-campus as well as an expansion and renovation into the areas of Career Services, Athletics, and Accessible Learning.
